"MG" is tasked with co-ordinating the fund raising efforts of the Tram Trust and establishing its operational structure.

Murali "MG" Gopalan has worked and lived in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the United States of America and now lives in Palmerston North with his family. During his thirty year career in the information technology industry he  has worked or partnered with multinational IT companies in technical, sales, management and consulting roles. For several years he managed the Singapore resident office of a local company pursuing Asian business opportunities for a Palmerston North based technology development company.

His interest and involvement in electric vehicles began with Dr. Donald Taylor's Elcar Ltd in Hong Kong as early as 1991.

"MG" is a certified trainer for the George Washington University developed Project Management Body of Knowledge® education programmes in New Zealand. As an Accredited Mentor of the One Page Business Plan Company he helps organisations "get from where they are to where they want to be".
